120 on 01/20
120 on 1/20! It's now a tradition. We tap a sixtel of Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA every January 20th.
Tapping a sixtel, well it's more like defusing a hop bomb. 120 Minute is Dogfish's extremely extreme IPA. 120 Minute IPA is boiled for a full two hours while being continuously hopped with high-alpha American hops, then dry-hopped daily in the fermenter for a month and aged for another month on whole-leaf hops.
Tapping/defusing is at 10am; weighing in around 20% ABV, we expect this sixtel to last all day.
Here's a video of Sam talking about 120 Minute IPA.
